Austin Food & Wine Festival April 27 -29, 2018 The Austin Food & Wine Festival
is a weeklong celebration of food, wine, beer and spirits featuring hundreds of purveyors, over 40 demos and tasting sessions, and special events that allow visitors to mingle with their favorite chefs or fire up a grill with a pro. A variety of tickets are available, ranging from general festival access to exclusive, individual events such as private chef dinners. Some of the notable chefs attending this year’s festival include Stephanie Izard, Bryan Voltaggio, Amanda Freitag, Ray Garcia, Tim Love, and Nyesha Arrington – just to name a few. Learn More

Movies in the Park The perfect way to spend a spring evening is with a free movie night at some of Austin’s best parks. Bring a blanket, grab some snacks, and gather the whole family (leashed dogs are welcome too!). This year’s spring line-up includes Moana (March 8th), Lion King (April 5th), the Emperor’s New Groove (May 10th), and Coco (May 17th) – with even more movies during the summer and early fall. Index Music & Beer Festival May 13th, 2018 Index Fest is taking place at the Austin American-Statesman and features over 250 craft beers from over 75 breweries, and live music from Local Natives, Frenship, Grizfolk, Calliope Musicals, and DJ Markus, along with eight local artists. Food is also major part of the Index experience and this year’s menu is sure to deliver on expectations. Enjoy great offerings from Frank’s, Wagyu on Wheels, Burro Cheese Kitchen, Wholly Cow Burgers, Neapolitan Express, and Drunchies. Proceeds from the festival benefit the 100 Club of Central Texas, which supports emergency medical technicians, firefighters and law enforcement officers in Central Texas. Learn More

Pecan Street Festival May 5th & 6th, 2018 Austin’s Pecan Street Festival is one of the largest and longest-running festivals in the city. A celebration of arts/crafts and music, this year’s festivities include hundreds of vendors showing off their handcrafted creations, along with live music, plenty of delicious food, beer tents and kid-friendly activities like rides, a petting zoo, face-painting and more. The Pecan Street Festival takes place in the Sixth Street Historic District between Brazos Street and Interstate 35. Admission is free. Learn More
